Troop Event Calendar - updated February 13, 2017

Patrol Leaders Council meetings are usually the first Monday of the month, with regular troop meetings on the other Mondays. Exceptions are noted below.

13 Order of the Arrow Elections. In order to be eligible, scouts must be at least First Class, have attended a long term camp (such as Napowan) and completed 15 days of tent camping in the previous two years. The tent camping requirement can include only one week of long-term camping.

22 Napowan payment due today: $300 per scout. After today the cost increases to $340!
28-30 US Grant Pilgrimage, Galena IL. Camping at Apple River Canyon State Park
MAY
12-14 Spring Camporee at Illinois Railway Museum. For more information click here
29 Memorial Day Parade - No Troop meeting. Parade line-up at 10:15am at Hampshire Middle School
JUNE Summer uniform begins (purple shirts)
2-4 OA Spring Fellowship, Camp Freeland Leslie. Scouts who were elected to OA in 2017 should try to attend this weekend to complete their Ordeal, as should current members who have not completed their Brotherhood. For more information on this event and to register click here
5 Patrol Leaders meeting
11-17 2017 National Youth Leadership Training, Camp Big Timber in Elgin. This week-long course is excellent training not just for scouting but for any youth who wants to improve their leadership skills. Participants must be at least First Class and age 13. For details click here
